He who understands... understands
trust faith [emunah] is our personal relationship with elohim yhwh who is one [yhwh elohim yahshua ruakh hakodesh echad] this relationship is profoundly significant and lasts throughout our lives in this world and the hereafter regardless of what we do with our lives
in the hebrew scriptures and tradition [kitvei ibrim ve masorah] (which is the same as the scriptures and tradition of the tribe of judah), elohim and yhwh are the terms used to refer to our creator
elohim the creator and sovereign i am [yhwh] his name
elohim focuses us on creation and sovereignty which are inseparable in his power [ruach] he teaches us that this word highlights his majesty and power as the creator of the universe and ruler of nature.
elohim is transcendent, meaning that which is beyond the limits of any possible knowledge yet at the same time intimately involved in the affairs of all his creation which includes everything that exists on our earth [aeretz].
yhwh is to be understood personally and relationally by reading the first three chapters of genesis [be reshis] we can understand this knowledge that is written in our hearts and minds that there is only one [levav ekhad].
yhwh focuses on the personal relationship of elohim with his people which is all of us born on this earth and it is a name that highlights the compassion, mercy and justice of elohim
yhwh is elohim who reveals himself through all of existence and human experience
in the scriptures and tradition of the hebrew people [ibri] elohim and yhwh are named interchangeably, which does not signify plurality
they are distinguished in certain contexts for example in genesis [be reshis] chapter [parashah] one verse [pasuk] one in the beginning elohim created the heavens [ha shamayim] and the earth [ha aeretz]
elohim is named to describe the creation of the universe [rakia] and in genesis [be reshis] chapter [parashah] two verse [pasuk] four it says this is the story of the heavens and the earth [toledot ha shamayim ha aretz] when they were created on the day that yhwh elohim made [yom elohim yhwh barah eretz ve shamayim] in exodus [shemot] chapter [parashah] three verse [pasuk] fourteen yhwh reveals himself to moses as both personal and relational elohim and elohim said to moses "i am who i am [moshe eh-heh-yah ashair ehheh-yah] and he said thus you shall say to the children of israel [banim yisroael ehheh-yah] yhwh elohim sent me to you
trust faith [emunah] is the power that relates to elohim and yhwh absolutely in obedience and devotion.
trust faith [emunah] is a response to the revelation of yhwh elohim in human experience [adam] without any distinction because it is the personal relationship with elohim yhwh from the beginning and forever for all created human beings
