En  Mateo 7:15  yahshua nos advierte diciendo: "Guardaos de los falsos profetas". Compara a estos falsos profetas con lobos disfrazados de ovejas. Yahshua  también nos dice cómo identificar a estos falsos profetas: por sus frutos los conoceréis ( Mateo 7:20 ). En toda la Biblia se nos advierte sobre los falsos profetas ( Ezequiel 13 ,  Mateo 24:23-27 ,  2 Pedro 3:3 ). Los falsos profetas dicen hablar en nombre de Yhwh nuestro Elohim, pero dicen mentiras. Para que los escuchen, vienen a la gente "con vestidos de ovejas, pero por dentro son lobos rapaces" ( Mateo 7:15 ). No importa cuán inocentes e inofensivos parezcan estos maestros por fuera, tienen la naturaleza de los lobos: están decididos a destruir la fe, causar una carnicería espiritual en la congregación de los bendecidos y enriquecerse.
